Add-Ons
Add-ons are optional features you add to your Barcode Producer license. Each add-on is a yearly purchase, needs an active Update Plan, and can cover every user on your license or only the people who need it.
There’s nothing more to download beyond Barcode Producer – add-ons are built into the software and turn on once your license includes them. You may also see them called plug-ins.
Automator & Data Merge#
Automator & Data Merge is for making many barcodes at once:
- Automator creates a batch of barcodes from a list of values, a range of numbers, or a spreadsheet.
- Data Merge adds text from your spreadsheet – a product name, a size – to each barcode in the batch.
Adding an add-on#
If you’re buying Barcode Producer for the first time, choose Automator & Data Merge on the order page along with your license.
To add it to a license you already have, you need to be an Owner:
- Open Add-Ons in Barcode Producer Account.
- Choose how many users need it. With a Whole Organization license, it covers everyone.
- Click Add to My Account, and check out.
- Quit and reopen Barcode Producer while you’re online. Automator and Data Merge are ready to use.
Check that you’re signed in to the right account: before you check out, the Add-Ons page shows the organization and billing email the add-on is for.
